We’re honored to present to you the second in our series of podcasts “Faith under Siege,” produced in collaboration with Aid to the Church in Need USA. This episode is particularly timely in that the Iran war has spilled over into a renewed conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon — which always affects the various Christian communities there. The Faith and Reason President Robert Royal interviews the Melkite Catholic Bishop of Beirut, Georges Bacouni, who speaks about both the history of religion in his country and current challenges. Unfortunately, owing to a technical problem with the feed from Lebanon, we have only the audio of the bishop for the final minutes of this podcast, but his voice and the transcript make it easy to follow him. We encourage you all to learn more about the plight of Christians in Lebanon and elsewhere around the world, where they are suffering persecution and even death. And to do what you can to support them wherever there is need.
