This interview is the very first in a series of podcasts being produced under a new partnership between Aid to Church in Need USA and the Faith & Reason Institute, the parent organization of The Catholic Thing. In light of the material developed in Robert Royal’s recent book Martyrs of the New Millennium, supported in part by ACN, we thought it would be a service to Christians around the world if we could highlight situations of persecution and martyrdom, which are many and growing. The series is aptly titled “Faith under Siege.” In this video, Robert Royal talk with His Beatitude Archbishop of Kiev Sviatoslav Shevchuk about the war in Ukraine and the pressures it has put on the Greek Catholic Church there – as well as the hope and faith the situation has called forth for many people inside and outside Ukraine. Please give it a careful look and do whatever you can to help our fellow suffering Christians in Ukraine and many other places today.
